Adrian Simpson Norfolk Watercolour Artist
Adrian Simpson Norfolk Watercolour Artist
I am a Norfolk watercolour artist based in Long Stratton, South Norfolk, inspired by landscapes and the big open Norfolk skies, painting has always been part of my life my father and grandfather were both artists and lovers of the countryside and they passed down to me their talent and appreciation of nature and beauty. My childhood was spent between the medieval streets of Norwich and the wilds of the Norfolk coast so any landscape, the Broads, the sea, boats, cottages, streets, fields and the huge skies are my favourites.
I sell original watercolour paintings, greetings cards, postcards, fridge magnets, mugs and key rings produced using a variety of my images. My customers include The National Trust, Museums, House Historian and Greeting card shops with sales in America, Europe and all over the UK.
I have recently started a series of on line themed exhibitions, please see my website. adrian-simpson.co.uk I hope you enjoy the first of these the Broadland Art Exhibition.

“Maria” at Hunsett Mill
At the Heritage Open Day event at The Museum of the Broads last year visitors helped me create a painting of the racing yacht “Maria”
The painting shows “Maria” passing Hunsett Mill perhaps on her way to race on Barton Broad. To find out more of the amazing story of “Maria” and to see this fantastic yacht please visit the Museum of the Broads.
Thank you to every one who contributed their brush strokes to the painting.
